Get people to come watch a basketball game

One assignment that I liked in this class was creating a poster/flyer to advertise a EIU men’s basketball game. It was a special occasion for us to create something to get people to join and watch a basketball game at Lantz Arena. It was cool because it was for the senior night.

There were no restrictions for this poster, so you had to be pretty creative. There were just a few things that all the posters had to had in common like the information about the game (Teams playing, time, location, special event…). Coolest part about it was that the best one or most voted would get to be published around campus. I believe it would pretty neat to see your creation hanging around campus.

D’Angelo Jackson to join EIU men’s basketball team. Jackson, a 6’4 and 210-pound guard, was named a 2nd Team NJCAA All-American last week. He’s coming from Highland Community College where he had impressive numbers during the last two years. D’Angelo led his team to the NJCAA national tournament in Hutchison, Kansas, under coach Tone Boyle.

EIU coaching staff is already excited about this Jackson joining the program. “D’Angelo’s ability to get past people and draw fouls is something that we’ve needed badly. His addition will make everyone happy, because he does so much for his teammates.  He can really create.” Coach Jay Spoonhour said.
